Does Sopranos finale open the door for a Sopranos movie?

sopranoswitnessprotection.jpg

So the show ends with the bells jingling on the door in the diner… is it just Meadow, who was having issues parallel parking? Or is it someone much more sinister too? Well, we will never know, because that is the moment that series creator David Chase decided to fade to black. Does the person at the door wield a gun to exterminate the entire family? Or is it really just law-school-hopeful Meadow?

The entire scene was filled with tension… and fans were all waiting for the inevitable… or what seemed to be inevitable… the gunning down of Tony Soprano in front of his family.

So what does this mean? Well, for starters, it aggravates a whole slew of Sopranos fans who wanted closure, darn it! Either kill him or let him sing for the feds, but neither happened.

So does this open the door to a Sopranos movie? Could be, especially after Sex and the City, another HBO hit, has just finally signed their own movie deal for the big screen. And you know that after six extended years of the show that the cast is itching to do more movies than the extended hiatuses could afford. So can we expect to see Sopranos on the big screen too? Time will only tell, but the door was definitely left VERY open for the possibility.

What a crocko stuff. I hate endings of series when they do NOT tie up the loose ends, aka, TONITE!!!

Never again!!! (will I watch Sopranos ANYTHING!)

  2. L says:

There are at least two refrences thru the years of the sopranos of tony asking, I wonder what its like to die. The answer given was, I think it just turns black. If that was a forshadowing of the end, Tony was killed while sitting in the booth in front of his family

SURE, THE DOOR IS MORE THAN OPEN FOR A MOVIE, BUT I THOUGHT THE ENDING WAS BRILLANT. WE’RE ALL SPECULATING, WE WANT CLOSURE. DAVID CHASE RESPONDED THAT EVERYTHING WAS THERE–NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS. EVERYTHING WENT TO BLACK. NICK LETARDO CAME OUT OF THE CAN AND WACKED TONY IN FRONT OF HIS FAMILY JUST AS HIS UNCLE WAS SHOT BRUTALLY IN FRONT OF HIS.

Just wanted to say….I am a huge fan loved it since I watched the first episode all the way to the last…….but just did not know why we ended the final season that way……the only question would be are they planting a seed for a movie to finalize everything because it made know since…well anyway I am still a huge fan but wish we could of had a better ending…..its just wrong to do a great mobster soap opera without a great ending…..still a huge fan….
