Who dies on Sopranos? We have some scoop!
So who dies on Sopranos? Well, it looks like Sopranos is going to pack some punch when they finally start airing new episodes in 2007. We have been forever waiting for the second half of season six to hit their air, and it looks like they have a big death that will shock us all, according to Kristen from E!
From Yiize222: Anything on the new season of Sopranos?
A big death. Huge. Like, one of the people you’d think they could never kill off. It’s not Tony, but it’s not far off…
I had my initial hunches (someone related to Tony through blood or not-so-marital-bliss) but would they really do that? Hmmmm…
However, Ausiello has a bit of a tidbit as well…
All I’ll say is this person was in pretty rough shape when last we saw him.
Any better guesses now ![]()

Its AJ he commits suicide. This is the reason why when asked about the series as a whole, james gandolfini says the show is a life lesson. Tony suffers from depression and panic attacks, as we all know AJ has a problem too. In the first 6 episodes of the sixth season, Carmela tells AJ hes a cross to bear with after he flunks college….word has it that his new girlfriend who appeared briefly will give him the last straw by turning down his marriage proposal. On one last note , the last episode we saw I think is a forshadowing of what is to come..nobody liked the episode ending at christmas with no cliihanger, I think it was chases way of saying , “This is the last time they will be seen altogether …and one will die.

I believe the previous comments are incorrect. When we last saw AJ he was doing well, he stopped partying and was starting to calm down…
However, Christopher was back on drugs and the last time we saw him he was in preaty bad shape. In addition, he was doing the boss’s girlfriend. For Tony to hold face he will have to “take care of” Chris personally. We have both hints answered with Chris…. 1st he is #2 and he is blood.
One thing any made guy knows is … you don’t do the boss’s girlfriend no matter who you are!!!!!

I think it is Christopher. You dont do the boss’s girlfriend no matter who you are.

It’s not A.J. Wikipedia already has a short plot description of each of the first 4 episodes, where in the 4th episode, it sais that “A.J. makes a life changing decision.”
Considering the ‘in bad condition the last time we saw them’ spoiler, I’d tend to think Phil Leatardo. But then the second hint sais that ‘its not Tony, but close to him”, which somewhat eliminates Phil because although he’s a pivotal character now, he isn’t one of the legendary ones. Close to Tony, but not Tony, and in bad shape the last time we saw them, has to be Christopher. (heroin addiction..)
Here’s the wikipedia page (scroll all the way to bottom)

It should also be known that the Sopranos has planted death rumors before. In season 3, CNN ran some story that Michael Imperioli (Christopher) was thinking about leaving the show, just before the Pine Barrens episode when him and Paulie are chasing the Russian guy through the snow, hinting that Christopher would get killed off in an upcoming episode. Lot’s of people think that’s what made that episode so exciting. Everyone was thinking that at some point Chris was going to get it. Especially made it good when it was dark…you were watching every movement of the bushes outside of that van…eerie.

Sounds like it could be Silvio.

Wait a minute - if anything this sounds exactly like the kind of description HBO would give us if A.J. were going to commit suicide. “A life changing decision.” I mean, what greater life-changing decision is there than ending one’s own?

I think its going to be Silvo, he is close to Tony, but something is going to go on with AJ after watching the clip at the end you see Tony Carmella and Meadow in like a hospital all hugging, no AJ. That makes me wonder where he is???
